The Los Angeles Passport Agency and the United States Postal Service will be
holding a Passport Fair at the Caltrans building in San Diego, CA on February
13, 2009 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm to provide information on the new U.S.
passport card and travel document requirements, and to accept passport
applications.
The U.S. Department of State has begun production of the new U.S. passport
card, a convenient, wallet-sized document to be used for re-entry into the
United States at land border crossings and sea ports-of-entry when arriving

As part of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), travelers will be
required to present a single document denoting both citizenship and identity
when entering the United States through land or sea borders. This requirement
will go into effect June 1, 2009
.
Information on the cost and how to apply for a passport book and/or passport
